The Kojo Technology Crystal E-G combines the high quality fine blasting process of the Crystal E Jtune and the special aluminium electrolytic capacitors of the Crystal Ep series to achieve the highest performance in the history of Kojo Technology’s grounding products development!

The Crystal E-G is the high-end model of the Crystal E and follows the basic configuration of the Crystal E Jtune(limited to 800 units worldwide) using a fine blasting process that improves the precision of the sandblasting process. In addition, the Crystal E-G includes six special aluminium electrolytic capacitors developed for the Crystal Ep grounding plug series. The Crystal E-G is the model with the largest surface area in the history of Kojo Technology’s grounding products development.

> Fine Blasting + Etching
The internal metal plate configuration of the Crystal E-G is the same as that of the previous Crystal E and the limited edition Crystal E Jtune(*1).

The Crystal E Jtune features sandblasting of each plate to achieve larger surface area over the Crystal E. The higher-end Crystal E-G improves on the Crystal E Jtune by using fine blasting(*2) which is a sandblasting process of higher precision and quality which provides uniform control of of the uneven surface shape and reduces variation in the enlarged surface area.

The evolution of the Crystal E-G doesn’t stop there. The high-end Crystal E-G is equipped with six special aluminium electrolytic capacitors(*3) introduced in the Crystal Ep grounding plug series.

The inner conductor of the capacitor is made of high-purity aluminium foil processed into a strip. Although the apparent surface area is small, the conductor surface is specially etched, forming countless cavities that resemble a spongy structure. These innumerable cavities vastly increases the effective surface area to 11,000 cm2(110cm×100 cm) per unit.

In addition, these six capacitors are mounted on a printed circuit board with a double-sided solid pattern layout to further expand the conductor surface area.

The Crystal E-G has succeeded in increasing the conductor surface area in an unprecedented manner by combining a new fine blasting process for different metal plates and special aluminium electrolytic capacitors with etching technology.
The surface area of the fine-blasted laminated plates (8 layers) is approximately 1,600cm2 (60% more than Crystal E), and the surface area of the six special aluminium electrolytic capacitors is 66,000cm2 (6 times that of the Crystal Ep series), for a total of 68,000cm2. It provides an effective area of more than 3.6 tatami mats in a Japanese-style room, making it the model with the largest surface area in the history of Kojo Technology’s grounding products development.

> Ground Terminal
The ground terminal used in the Crystal E-G has been changed from the stainless steel M4 bind screw used in the Crystal E to a gold-plated M4 three-point pan screw to provide more stable conductivity(same specifications as limited edition Crystal E Jtune). In addition, there are two ground terminals: one (FROM EQUIPMENT) for connecting to audio equipment and the other (ADD E) for use as an expansion terminal.
*Since connecting two audio devices to one Crystal E-G results in multiple grounds, we recommend connecting 1 audio device to 1 Crystal E-G.

> Adoption of Hollow-Hole Screws
The Crystal E-G TOP cover inherits the design of the limited edition Crystal E Jtune by fitting screw with a hollow-hole screws.

The current Crystal E uses Ni-plated steel M3 flat head screws. Whereas the inside of the Crystal E was sealed, the stainless steel M3 flat head screw with a hollow hole adopted by the Crystal E-G has the effect of venting the internal air, resulting in a more open sound quality.

> Dedicated ground cable (included)
The Crystal E-G comes with dedicated 1.2m ground cables: one “RCA plug-Y terminal” cable and one “Y terminal-Y terminal” cable.

The wire is a coaxial cable with excellent high-frequency characteristics(same as the current Crystal E). Both terminals are gold-plated to ensure high sound quality.
The “RCA plug-Y terminal” cable can be used when there is an unused analog input/output terminal of an amplifier or other device. The “Y terminal-Y terminal” cable can be used when there no unused analog input/output terminals as described above, and there is a case tightening screw or a GND terminal.

*We recommend that you determine which connection method is more effective by listening to the sound.

> Sound Quality Effects
The fine blasting process and the installation of special aluminium electrolytic capacitors increase the surface area by 68 times compared to the current Crystal E.
The Crystal E-G directly benefits from this, contributing to an improved(audible) S/N ratio over the Crystal E and the limited edition Crystal E Jtune. The sound quality is further improved by changing the screws to provide a sense of freedom.

There is improved separation between instruments and more vivid textures with no frequency response imbalance(audible).
The effects of the improved S/N ratio are all positive, enabling you to hear detailed sounds and information that did not notice before, feel the depth of the sound stage, and bring the sound to the forefront with a sense of power as the contours become clearer.

The singer is firmly positioned in the centre, and as the three-dimensional spatial expression of the sound stage is expanded front and back, left and right and up and down, you feel that you can see the sound imaging. It is truly “entering the 2ch transcendence zone”.

> Design
As the name suggests, the Crystal E-G (Crystal series) is designed with the concepts of clarity, delicacy, and transparency.

The Crystal E-G inherits the design of the current Crystal E, but is anodised with a slightly reddish champagne gold colour suitable for a higher-end model. The colour of the bottom chassis is changed from silver to earth which complements champagne gold to exude a high-quality character.
With its simple design, the Crystal E-G has earned the title of “CREATIVE POWER ACCESSORIE” as a creative power accessory typical of KOJO TECHNOLOGY.
